The plastic jars used to package our products are recyclable. They are made of PET plastic, a material that&apos;s widely accepted by recycling facilities nationwide.To help you recycle responsibly, we suggest rinsing the jars and replacing the lids before you dispose of them. This helps keep curious or hungry animals from accessing any leftover peanut butter. Additionally, crushing the jars, if possible, can further reduce the chances of attracting wildlife. Please also ensure your recycling bins are properly sealed.

Our products are best kept in a cool, dry place such as a cupboard or pantry. While refrigeration is not necessary, it may help to slow down oil sepeartion if the peanut butter is well stirred before going in the fridge.  Peanut butter may be more difficult to spread when cold, so keep that in mind too.

Peanut Butter is defined by the FDA as a mixture that contains at least 90% ground peanuts which can only be stabilized with hydrogenated vegetable oil. Stabilization is a process where another oil is added to the peanut butter which helps to keep the natural peanut oil from separating in the jar, resulting in a product that has a consistently creamy texture with little to no stirring required.To avoid using hydrogenated oils which can involve the use of chemically altered oils, we use palm oil for stabilization. This decision is part of our commitment to use simple, honest ingredients. Because we do not use hydrogenated oils, most of our products must be labeled as Peanut Butter Spreads. We list the percentage of peanuts in our products on each label.

Oil separation is a natural occurrence. It happens when the peanut oil rises to the top of the jar over time. To return your peanut butter to its creamy state, just give it a good stir to mix the oil back in. Our peanut butter spreads which are stabilized with palm oil will have less oil seperation but some may still occur.
